Satellite products contain valuable environmental information, but they are rarely presented in a form designed around nearshore decisions, local launch points, and limited operating range.

The approach

A simple guide built around relative conditions

The prototype translates temperature and chlorophyll signals into a comparative map, keeps the scientific resolution visible, and lets users inspect conditions or search near a chosen departure point.

The current priority is validating usefulness, clarity, and scientific assumptions with fishers, researchers, and partner organizations before treating the guide as an operational service.
